2014 Indoor Coed FoursPresented by Colorado Volleyball Charities
It is time for the 2014 indoor coed 4s Theander Memorial Classic volleyball tournament and silent auction! We are very excited for the 4th year of the tournament and hope to continue raising money for Hope and Lane Theander, our friend Gregg's 2 kids, while playing the sport that Gregg loved. Part of the proceeds last year also went to club volleyball scholarships for players in Colorado. Between the two tournaments run by Colorado Volleyball Charities we gave away over $4,000 dollars to volleyball families in need!WHEN: ; captains' meeting , play starts at
WHERE: NORCO facility, 7395 Greendale Road, Windsor, CO (same place as last year's tourney)
TEAMS: Coed 4s- teams must have at least 1 gal and 1 guy
DIVISIONS: Competitive (A and above) and Rec (B/BB)
FORMAT: Pool play (max 5 teams/pool) with top 2 teams breaking from each pool into a single elimination bracket. The field will be capped at 30 teams in a combination of Comp and Rec, so get your registration in early. Timing may affect if the playoffs are match play or single game, but are preference is for all match play besides the 3rd place game.
FUN STUFF: t-shirts/player giveaway and lunch for all players; prizes will be awarded to the 1st and 2nd place teams (3rd place depending on prize donations). We also plan on having a silent auction with lots of cool stuff again this year.
REGISTRATION: All teams need to pre-register. You can also prepay for a discount to your entry fee. We are officially a non-profit! Therefore, all checks need to be made out to Colorado Volleyball Charities.
ENTRY FEE: $100 per team if registering and paying before ; $120 per team if paying the day of the tournament. Credit cards can be accepted but only at the door (so the $120 entry fee).
TO REGISTER: Please fill out the attached registration form and mail that and your entry fee to Theander Memorial Classic; c/o Mike and Casey Robinson, 2921 Moore Lane, Fort Collins, CO 80526. If you are registering and paying later you can fill out the entry form electronically and email it firstname.lastname@example.org.
T-SHIRT SIZES: In order to help us accurately order t-shirts, we have asked for sizes on the registration form. If you are registering a team but don't yet have all of your team members in place - that is OK! Get signed up and then email Casey ASAP regarding your other team members and their t-shirt sizes (do the same if you have team members change from the original registration). I will do my very best to accommodate everyone- but any teams that register last minute may not get the t-shirt sizes they want. We will have men's and women's cut t-shirts again this year. T-shirt sizes tend to run small with the cut of the shirt so you may need to size up.
BLIND DRAW: All teams seeds will be a blind draw (done at the captain's meeting) for their seed and pool.
